Astha Adroja, a 2023 SURF undergrad fellow and an EMSOP PharmD Honors Research Program student, received the Lalor Foundation Merit Award from the Society for the Study of Reproduction (SSR) at the annual SSR meeting in Ottawa, Canada, July 11-14. Her abstract entitled “Targeting proprotein convertases and follicle rupture to identify non-hormonal contraceptive candidates” was selected for the Predoctoral Platform Competition Finalist Talks and Astha won 2nd Place out of 6 finalist presenters. Both the Lalor Foundation Merit Award and the Predoctoral Platform Competition are quite competitive and finalists were selected from more than 500 submitted abstracts.
