SUMMARY:Countermeasures to Chemical Warfare
DESCRIPTION:Dr. David Jett (NIH/NINDS) will be providing an overview of the NIH/DOD CounterACT program that will be coupled with a Rutgers scientist research presentation and an interactive team activity run by Dr. Joshua Gray (US Coast Guard) focused on the re-purposing of drugs to treat chemical weapon injuries. A pre-work activity needs to be completed prior to participating in this session. Team-based competitions using ‘sales’ skills will bring home key points/considerations of re-purposing drugs as countermeasures.
